Farmer remanded for allegedly destroying Govt property, possession of firearm

A Makurdi Magistrates’ court on Monday remanded a farmer, Awase Benjamin for allegedly destroying government property and illegal possession of firearm. The Magistrate, Mr Kelvin Mbanongun, did not take the plea of Benjamin for want in jurisdiction to her the matter. Mbanongun ordered that Benjamin remanded in the Makurdi Correctional Centre pending conclusion of investigation.
